Malt flavour comes from the low roasted malt with evidence of chocolate, caramel and aromatic toffee-like, caramel and biscuit-like characters. Low-level roasted malt astringency balanced with low to medium malt sweetness. Hop flavour is low to medium-high. Hop bitterness is low to medium. The addition of rye to this beer adds a spicy or pumpernickel character to the flavour and finish. Colour is enhanced, even redder from the use of rye.  This is a spectacular beer and you will only find out when you brew it!


Alcohol 5.2% makes 40 pints.
